Created and developed large, complex organizations specializing in innovative talent acquisition solutions and university relations & recruiting. Developed and led the university programs strategy providing enterprise-wide guidance and oversight of strategic talent management practices reporting to Vice President, Corporate Talent Acquisition. Orchestrated 190 campus recruiting teams with over 700 recruiters. Managed 12 direct reports and a $3M annual budget.
1991 - 1997
Texas Instruments, Inc.
Responsible for strategic development and placement programs for 11,000-employee Defense Systems & Electronics Group and Research & Development divisions as a member of a self-managed work team in an engineering/HR matrixed organization. Managed exempt professional, college, and student (co-op /intern) hiring; led a cross-divisional college recruiting team for domestic US business units and $9M budget. Selected and managed rotational assignments and development for more than 200 new college graduates over their first two years.
Jeff performed research and managed select teams in order to develop the two most fundamental guides for NACE member employers: one at the organizational level – Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting and one for individuals in different roles – Competencies for URR Professionals.
Jeff is a certified human capital strategist who consults with university relations and recruiting functions to create stakeholder buy-in, integrate and link UR&R within an overall business strategy, and become better recognized as strategic business partners.
Jeff is a devout proponent of data, technology, and analytics as a means of building college relations and recruiting strategic plans. He has experience innovating employment websites and developing custom database solutions for university programs. He has authored research and benchmarking studies as an internal and external consultant, using surveys and focus groups to provide rich quantitative and qualitative reports on recruitment processes, brand awareness, and social media assessments.
Jeff is an accomplished speaker, having delivered numerous international presentations for IQPC on employer website development. He also developed and delivered workshops on school selection data-driven college recruiting at several NACE National Conference and regional roundtable events.
Jeff has served on the Board of Directors at NACE and the Engineering Workforce Commission. He is certified as a Six Sigma Specialist by Texas Instruments and Raytheon, a Senior Professional in Human Resources by SHRM, and Human Capital Strategist by HCI.
Jeff graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S in Oceanographic Technology.
